Minutes for the regular and special board meetings at Lawrence Public Library for the year of 1959. Includes information about finances information for administration, building, and special projects.
The budget for the next year were presented to the city commissioners and city manager. Different inspections to the building were carried in order to make repairs. The success of the bookmobile was mentioned and the board members were invited to hear Eleanor Roosevelt speech at the Annual Kansas Library Association Conference on October 7th.
A resignation letter from an employee in the children's department was added to the minutes.
