Minutes for the regular and special board meetings at Lawrence Public Library for the year of 1961. Includes information about finances and circulation. The board proposed an increase in school books collection to work with the schools in Lawrence and the library was able to participate in the retirement system to offer better opportunities to its employees. The minutes refers a city law that indicated that stealing books from the library would become a punishable crime.
