Description
Postcard with a black and white photograph of the first streetcar in Lawrence on the front. Photograph shows a streetcar parked with six men are standing either in front of or in the streetcar. On the side of the streetcar "Lawrence Railway Company" is painted on the side along with "109". Behind the streetcar is the Lawrence Journal building. At the bottom of the photograph on the left "First Str. Car - Lawrence Kans" is written in white ink. At the bottom right side "C. & S. Studio" is signed in white ink. A white border is around the entire photograph. On the back is a note to Mr. O.E. Epperson in Wellington, Kansas from A.R. Maxwell in Lawrence, Kansas. Postmarked November 5, 1909.
