Postcard with a black and white photograph of Place House on the front. In the photograph is a building with men standing under the porch. On the right side there are small carriages parked. At the left side is the Roosevelt Fountain. Across the bottom on the left side "645 Place House Lawrence, Kans." is written in white ink. On the back is a note to Miss A.E. Rae in Eudora, Kansas from her sister Lola L. in Kansas. Dated June 28th, postmarked June 23, 1911. Information on when and where the postcard was acquired, Willsie 8/29/1974. In the 1915 Polk Directory the building is called Proper Place House, owned by Paul Luckan who also lived at the location.
