Postcard with a black and white photograph of the paper mill after the 1911 tornado on the front. Photograph depicts the paper mill with the majority of the roof ripped off and on side of the building partially gone. Several men stand on the mill's deck and in the yard. At the bottom right corner "Paper Mill after Tornado 4/12/11 Lawrence KS" is written in white pencil. At the bottom is a black strip with "8977 A Paper Mill after Cyclone, Lawrence, Kans." is typed in white ink. On the back in the middle "Mfgd. by M.L. Zercher Book and Sta. Co., Topeka, Kan." is printed vertically in black ink.
