Postcard with a black and white photograph of a destroyed house after the 1911 tornado on the front. Four people are standing in the debris in the background. Across the bottom of the photograph "Tornado - Lawrence Kans 4/12/11" is printed in white ink. A signature is written at the bottom right side of the photograph. A white border is around the entire photograph. On the back is a note to Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Pickard in Covington, Oklahoma from D in Lawrence, Kansas. Note talks about the damage done to Lawrence due to the tornado. Postmarked April 24, 1911. Information on when the postcard was acquired is on the back, 7/28/1993.
