Postcard with a black and white photograph of the Thompson J.C. Blacksmith Shop after the 1911 tornado on the front. Photograph depicts a building that is completely destroyed. Two men are standing in the rubble. At the bottom of the photograph is a black strip with "8981A Blacksmith Shop, Pinckney Street, Lawrence, Kans." is printed in white ink. A white border is around the entire photograph. On the back "Mfgd. by M.L. Zercher Book Stationery Co. Topeka, Kansas" is typed sideways in the middle in black ink. Information on when and where the postcard was acquired is on the back, 5/23/2003 from Jim Taylor at KCPS Lenexa.
