Description
Postcard with a black and white photograph of an ice gorge on the Kaw River on the front. Photograph depicts the river covered in ice sheets, the bridge and Bowersock Mills are in the background. At the bottom of the photograph "1840A Ice Jam, Kaw River, Lawrence Kans. 1910. Photo by The Studio Jackson" is printed in white ink. A white border is around the entire photograph. On the back "Mfgd. by M.L. Zercher Book and Sta. Ca., Topeka, Kan." is typed sideways in black ink. A note is written on the back from Mrs. McKee to her children. Information on when and where the postcard was acquired is on the back, 2/10/1973 from Falls.
