Description
Postcard with a sepia photograph of flooded Santa Fe Railroad tracks on the front. Photograph depicts the railroad tracks with high water on either side and some water on the tracks. At the bottom of the photograph is a black bar with "Overflow From Ice Gorge, Kansas River, Lawrence, Kans. Santa Fe R.R." printed in white ink. A note is written on the back to Miss Erica Keister in La Crosse, Kansas from a C.M. in Lawrence, Kansas. Note discusses the flood. Postmarked February 5, 1910. Information on when the postcard was acquired is on the back, 10/20/1986.
