Postcard with a black and white photograph of a U.S. Route 40 sign to Topeka on the front. Photograph depicts the sign in front of a field that is covered in snow. A white border is around the entire photograph. On the bottom border "Lawrence, Kansas" is printed in faded black ink. Beneath the text is a black and white column border that is around the entire photograph. On the back is a note to Mr. Henry Shubert in Kansas City, Missouri from Lawrence, Kansas. Note is signed by "your little blond" and discusses getting permission to visit Shubert for the weekend. Postmarked August 23, 1936. Information on when and where the postcard was acquired is on the back, 2001 from the Lenexa PC Show
