Library Board Minutes of the Lawrence Free Public Library for the Year 1965.

Minutes for the regular and special board meetings at Lawrence Public Library for the year of 1965. Includes information about circulation, finances, registration, stock, and collections. Federal money was available thanks to the house bill 621 and the library started to prepare to receive the funds. Plans for outline all Kansas libraries were made creating a combined system between Douglas, Johnson and, Atchison Counties.
The secretary attached the next documents to the minutes:
A report for the board of directors and copies from the annual meeting.
An appreciation letter from Sally and A. B. Ewing.
A letter directed to patrons explaining self-charge and new rules.
