Minutes of Lawrence Public Library board's meetings for the year of 1970. Financial report, circulation report, registration, book stock, salaries, and expenses.
Increases in the costs of construction were reported.
Due to the growing Lawrence population there was the opportunity to become a separate taxing unit by 1972.
Plans for the new library were presented on June 16th with a scale model.
Lawrence library and other libraries got together to made a legal complaint regarding the exclusion of the MS-66 municipal rate schedule.
