The collection was loaned to the Lawrence Public Library for scanning and inclusion in the Digital Douglas County History project by Rosalea and Peter Carttar. Scanning and metadata creation for much of the collection was completed by Kylie Hewitt during the summer of 2016.

This collection is comprised of postcards collected by Lawrence, Kansas, residents Charline Fitzpatrick and her daughter Sally Postma. The collection focuses on resources related to the history of Lawrence, Kansas, including scenes of buildings, events, and people in Lawrence, as well as commercial advertisements for businesses located in Lawrence. The collection was loaned to the Lawrence Public Library for scanning and inclusion in the Digital Douglas County History project by Rosalea and Peter Carttar. Scanning and metadata creation for much of the collection was completed by Kylie Hewitt during the summer of 2016.

Postcard with a black and white photograph of a young girl holding a kitten on the right half of the front. Young girl is standing barefoot on a porch. On the left side of the front is a note to Edmond Weatherby's brother from Edmond at 1017 Indiana Street, Lawrence, Kansas. Note states that the girl is Olive (Weatherby Jackson) and continues onto the back of the postcard where it mentions Lawrence Business College. Dated and postmarked July 25, 1910. A stamp states that the postcard was returned due to a lack of direction. Information on when and where the postcard was acquired is on the back, 5/15/1999 at the Jackson Sale.
