Description

Kenneth L. Sperry served in the United States Army (86th Infantry Division) from 1943 to 1946. Interviewed by Brian Grubbs on October 6, 2006, Sperry talked about his experiences during the Second World War. Sperry was born in Kansas in 1923. He graduated high school in Lawrence, Kansas in 1942, and was drafted into the Army in 1943. He went to basic training at Camp Fannin, Texas. He went to France in 1944. His division moved through Belgium into Germany. Following the war, Sperry completed a degree at the University of Kansas.
